Books read in August and September: 1. Dead To The World by Charlaine Harris - Fourth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, and the best so far. 2. Dead As A Doornail by Charlaine Harris - Fifth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. 3. Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris - Sixth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I found this book quite confusing at first, as there appeared to be a huge chunk of story missing. I found out later that there is a short story that addresses the missing pieces. I'm not sure it's a good idea to have such an important element of the story addressed only in a short story, as I'm sure there are many people (like me) who have never read it. It definitely had an effect on my enjoyment of the book. The Sookie Stackhouse books are not the most well-written books in the world, but they're still very enjoyable. Pure escapism! :) 4. Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs - Second book (but third story - there's also a short story set in this universe) in the 'Alpha and Omega' series. I loved it. 5. Personal Demon by Kelley Armstrong - Book eight in 'The Women of the Otherworld' series. 6. Living With The Dead by Kelley Armstrong - Book nine in 'The Women of the Otherworld' series. 7. Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong. A collection of Kelley Armstrong's short stories featuring the men of the otherworld. Very enjoyable. 8. Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong. The latest book in the 'Women of the Otherworld' series. This book follows werewolves Elena and Clay, and is one of the best so far. Loved it!
